Codes and Conventions of film magazines
Most film magazines follow the same codes and conventions. They all have a bold title at the top of the magazine that usually covers the width of it so it stands out. The colour is usually the same on all the magazines, however sometimes it is altered slightly so that it matches the colour of the main picture or the colour scheme. They all have a main picture on it of the actors/actresses of the latest released film which covers the whole magazine. The title of the featured film and what the article is about is usually in bold across the magazine in a colour that stands out against the main picture. They all usually contain a bit of writing at the top, above the title showing what else is in the magazine and they all contain writing on the front showing what other articles, actors and actresses are in the magazine. They usually all have smaller pictures on the cover of these actors/actresses that are in the magazine. They all contain a barcode which is usually placed at the bottom of the magazine cover so it does not stand out as much. Also they all have the date, issue number and sometimes the magazines website on the front. These are usually placed near the top of the magazine in a smaller font as it is not as important as the rest of the writing.
